About us

School that has direction!

The world has been crazy about the Nordic countries for a while now. The adjective “Scandinavian” has become the guarantee of success because it denotes trustworthiness and promises high quality and exquisite taste.
Education system, governance model of the countries, design, lifestyle, cousine, cinema, literature… – all is Scandinavian and all is praised, analysed and compared. We are fond of the modest, healthy, friendly and happy lifestyle of the Scandinavians. We ourselves want to live right and be happy.

However, everything has a start. There is an example but lessons have to be learnt.

The language school and translation office have been established in 2015 with a mission to have a direction. We purposely work with the Scandinavian languages: Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, and Finnish. We’ve become a community through our shared experience and knowledge obtained in Scandinavian schools and universities. “Šiaurės kryptimi” is  lecturers and translators who want to share their experience and knowledge and to work together with like-minded people, who are united by the love for Scandinavia and the willingness to learn and to know.

Our strengths:

  • Small groups adapted to your time
  • Only Nordic languages!
  • A team of lecturers ready to teach various levels
  • A lot of speaking practice and step-by-step grammar
  • Affordable prices with a possibility to pay in instalments

Language learning courses are organized in Vilnius, Kaunas, Šiauliai and Panevėžys. We continually gather new groups to learn at different levels. Each level consists of 40 academic hours. Usually, lessons occur twice per week in the evening. One lesson lasts 2 academic hours, or 1,5 hours. A course for one language level lasts about 2,5 months.

  • Work in small groups (4–6 people);
  • Direct and motivating learning environment;

We also offer individual lessons which can be given both live and online.

  • The learning process during the online courses follows the same principles – eye to eye learning with the lecturer with the screen serving as a blackboard;
  • Online learning is attractive because it‘s more convenient, cheaper and more effective;
